I have been quite miffed just recently at some of my experiences and hard line about not flying QFi anymore. However these flowers arrived today with an apology from Qantas. Now really is this playing fair? What woman can resist flowers and an apology?

Very nice. Though I'm sure a bottle of bubbles wouldn't have gone astray ;)

While I assume status (including AFF status) plays a part, this seems to me to be sufficiently out of the box to be a really genuine and lovely gesture by Qantas and Red Roo. A bottle would in my view have been a bit ho hum / standard (albeit of more tangible benefit!).

Of course the real test is if the problems encountered are addressed and don't happen to others irrespective of status (eg notification of a move of flight and advice on alternative options).

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Flowers and a bottle is more what I was thinking...

I can't be the slightest bit cynical about that turn of events! Good stuff QF.

Not 'fair' but quite satisfactory?

Indeed! But given that wouldn't be offered to just any paying customer, if you were to pick one, I like the flowers.

I think its a good gift as it would have required thought to organise and presumably someone to order them.etc. Unlike Wine which could be sent from there warehouse at a click of a button. (Still wine/champers is good) Well done.

How many flowers do you think they send to MP's, Senators and their staff every week?

CBR is the hotbed of gifts!

Based on your reaction and public posting, I'd say "job done QF, mission accomplished"
