Might be stupid question but here goes.

I need to get to Santiago or Buenos Aires January next year, and would then like to go to US then back. Flights originating and returning to Sydney. I've been searching the multi city award (256,000 J class deal) but there are very few seats in Business, or anything above whY class.

The flights will be 20 Jan 2018 returning around a month later. I've been researching in anticipation of the 353 day date but it seems all a waste of time.

Can anyone confirm if I'll get 2 x J seats SYD-EZE/STA-DFW-SYD? Typical QF, not much rewards reward and most disappointing.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

IME you'll need to be QF Plat to get seats released.

If you haven't got Plat status it might be better to think about flying to DFW ... 2xJ &1xF are released 4 days of the week...

Thanks. I have looked at the DFW first route but zilch.
Amaroo do I understand from your post that seats are released on a rolling basis and I should not fret if at 353 days prior there's nothing offered?

I recently booked this award for a Dec 2017 departure and found zilch for Fri, Sat, Sun over a period of weeks.

Without fail the other 4 days were a certainty.

If you can't see it on the web, call them. Are you searching flexible dates? You get a months outlook by ticking that box.

...if you have status.......

Hence why I posted...

If you can't see it on the web, call them.

Given the seats are released four days of the week they technically are available - I'm "guessing" anyone can ring QFF are get them to do the booking. It's not like the agents needs to call "seat management" and make a WP style request.

It's definitely worth a try if the OP thinks DFW works for them.

This is the availability for 1 x F and 1 x J

I still reckon a call to QFF would deliver good news.

I will try that next month. Don't need to fly until Jan 20 so another month to go. But appreciate the screen shot, least I have the facts to state I k now there are seats out there.....

Hit me up via this thread when you are ready to book - I'll post the availability.
