We are trying to pay some bigger bills on our two credit cards now and points stop in just over two months. We transferred our accumulated points into our Kris Flyer accounts.

I just got a text for my Premier card saying that the annual fee is due soon, and it will appear on my next statement (just after I got a reminder email saying that the card will be shut, and no annual fee will be charged). My last statement was issued yesterday. I assume that I don't need to wait until my next statement to confirm that the text is bogus, but, FFS, HSBC, do you think that you could have disabled all annual fee reminder texts when you decided to shut down your banking operations?
