WCMO - when you try to reconcile your CC spend where the company name on the bank statement bears no similarity to the place or goods you purchased.

Just two recent examples - I really had to think what they related too....

Bought Vietnamese rolls at Roll'd in Hawthorn - the statement said purchase made at an UGG store in Maitland NSW.
Got 2 coffees in Blackburn - this one showed a company in the UK - maybe the billing service but that does not help me much in identifying the spend.

Life used to be easy with cash.

The Great Beetroot shortage. No canned/bottled beetroot on the shelves of Coles/Woolies around my area in Perth for the last few weeks. Well moving to NZ opens the floodgates to repackage Chinese product as Product of NZ such are their regulations that permit this.

• Most baby boomers will still use "inches", "feet", "yards" and "pounds"... be damned if you even try to correct them. (Remember: a cricket pitch is 1 chain or 22 yards in length)
• Nearly everyone in Australia still quotes their height measurements in colloquial talk in feet and inches.
• Baby birth weight announcements are still very common in pounds and ounces.
• Qantas and Virgin base the points you earn and burn on flight miles, not kilometres.

My biggest gripe is that we Australians still to this day uses American-invented airplanes instead of the ones that we invented ourselves. Get your act together Qantas!

Its been a LOT more than two!! That was just the afternoon I was in ED. Early on, there were the inevitable accidents where some was fanging down the footpath on an e-scooter and cleaned up someone walking out of a shop. Naturally many complaints to Council. Their response "Well, its a trial - a trial is there to learn these lessons ..."

It's amazing how people are able to ride these things at more than 20kph (without a forking license!) and am able to whisk by pedestrians without crashing when I can barely get up to 10kph without feeling on the verge of losing control of the scooter even on a straight sidewalk. If it was me riding that thing everyone on the sidewalk would of been knocked out already by my reckless "riding." It amazes me how there are no severe accidents on a day to day basis considering how hard it is to ride that thing (speaking as a pro bikie ). Is it true that everyone in Australia have 9 lives?

We've been getting beetroot in our veggies box every fortnight. I pickle it myself and now have a pantry full
Clearly the beetroot exists but is too imperfect for the big two supermarkets.

They neglect quality options for smaller inner city homes and apartments which many people leave in. Yet in Europe or Asia plenty of options for smaller homes.

Been searching online, there is basically only 4 models (excluding colour differences) height wise in that meet my preferred criteria; if I had an extra 5 cms of height have like 20+ options.

The cavity is my kitchen is not small (1755mm * 1000mm * 820mm), but 26 years ago when my cabinetry was done fridges were not so tall. Now the default seems to be 1770mm+ for anything that has more than 2 doors.

It is fine if you are renovating kitchen or building new, but ripping out the upper cabinets for a taller fridge isnt an option right now; and I dont want something worse than I have (lots of cheaper brands of small 2 door fridges).

I had planned to get a new fridge when I had time to renovate, but that isnt an option for another 2 years, and tbh the bathroom is more in need than the kitchen.

May have to abandon french door or 4 compartments and go to a 3 compartment or basic bottom mount.

Same when my top loaded carked it on xmas day 16 months ago; washing machines have gotten taller and no longer have folding lids per my previous two, which is hard when you have a dryer (which are also larger now) above. I had very little choice and am disappointed with the outcome (no fabric softener dispenser and spin doesnt extra as much water as previous two), if Id had more than 48 hours to work with I should have had the old one repaired.
