Who else still holds the Citibank Free For Life Premier Card?

I dont think anyone has reported receiving any notifications here but some on Whirlpool reported a new $149 fee. No mention of closure of any Citi CC that I could see. The forum is a PITA to follow so not sure if they're referring to a Premier/Signature or whatever the card/s below that is. I don't think anyone has the Prestige as FFFL.

I haven’t received any notification about a fee or any other change to my FFFL card. And nothing stated on Citi app when logged in. Was it communicated to others by email?
I've only heard of notifications on the Rewards version of the card, not the Premier version. Which card do you have?

As general information, upon further review of all Citi Rewards credit
card accounts, it has been identified that some customers with a certain
fee code on file and whose accounts were acquired
had a "No Annual Fee Free for Life (NAFFL) promotion are not impacted by
this change.

The annual fees of these account shall continue to be $0.

We apologise for any confusion/oversight and inconvenience this may have
caused.

Fingers crossed. I have Premier card.
It's not over yet until NAB decides to pull the plug and the general sentiment amongst those who hold Citi CCs is that NAB will shut down all Citi products in the near future. Citi Transaction Accounts were the first to go. Then Diners Club. Then imo I think the CCs will be cancelled by NAB in two rounds: the non-rewards cards Simplicity/Clear will go first, then the Rewards/Premier/Prestige will be the final cards to be shut down. Based on NAB's timeline of shutting down previous Citi products, my speculation is that by the end of 2025, all Citi customers will have received their "we're no longer offering your product" email.

NAB have specifically stated they will move credit cards onto their own systems. However, it is onto anew unsecured lending platform they are building.
Their agreement to use Citi's name and systems doesn't go forever.

Sorry, but this is factually incorrect. Diners Club companion cards went first, then transaction accounts, then Online Saver accounts.
This is true in terms of NAB's process of shutting them down but I was referring to when the "We're no longer offering your product" email timeline. NAB sent the shut down email for the Transaction accounts before they sent them for the DC cards

Where did they survey the "general sentiment"? I think the main term in your post is " my speculation"

Pulled up NAB's published timeline on this, and they expect to have everyone fully migrated onto the NAB platform, and exiting the agreement to use the Citi name and systems by the end of this year. If they are on time, migration of credit cards will occur after June and before December this year.

yeah, the actual letter they got looks like a global product change of the Annual fee.
Hence some people got a letter that said Old fee $0 new Fee $149

There was no explanation on the letter about removal of Free for life, even I woudnt have thought NAB would be that harsh. Hence it looks like a mistake to me. They sent this letter to all customers instead of excepting the FFL ones

I received an email at the start of this month re a $149 fee for my fee-free for life Citi Platinum Rewards card. Called them and they confirmed it starts in March. I’ve had it for 20+ years, better phone repair coverage than my Amex and decent travel insurance but I guess I’ll be cancelling it now. Was looking for a new card with no foreign transaction fees anyway. Poor form!

I called them and they confirmed I’ll be getting charged $149 from March on my FFL card. Wish I still had the 20 something year-old paperwork! Off to find another card..

Could it be that they explain that Citibank FFL is dead (ie end of life), and NAB give you a new card?

$149 per year, for being able to pay bills pay tradies pay God pay Muhammad pay Jesus pay Moses pay Virgin Mary, is it really such a bad deal? I don't think so.
I disagree. They make enough from the merchant as well as from those that don't pay off their CC each month. If they attempt to start changing an annual fee. I'm closing the account.

True
But that evidence doesn't say whether it is free for your life or Citibank Australia's life.
Your contract was with Citibank Australia and that company is dead.
True but could argue that NAB knew before they purchased Citibank retail products that their was customers With FFFL cards so when you acquired the CBR you respect the agreements that are beneficial to the customer as well as the bank. My 2cents worth.

The Citibank Credit card account will be closed. NAB will open a new Credit account for you, and do a balance transfer. Therefore no obligation by NAB to continue the Free for Life deal.

but... its Citibank that has written to customers advising the new Annual fee whilst its still a Citibank product.
I haven't received any such notice from Citi bank
