The Average Age of The AFF Poster

Taking a cue from Mal and Bundy Bear, we’d like to find out the average age of the readership here. Of course the poll will be completely anonymous, so you don’t have to worry about anyone finding out just how old you really are

I was only able to create 10 poll entries and didn’t want to discount the possibility that there could be a significantly younger member amongst us, though it would be very surprising. Likewise, I didn’t know what age range to finish at, so apologies if you are grouped into the rather large ∞ range at the end.

Current estimates put the average age between 35 and 44.

Nb. If your +1 reads AFF too, they will need to vote separately, adding your ages together wont work

Slightly pedantic here but shouldn't the title read; The average age of the AFF poster? I mean if someone reads and doesn't post we can't incorporate their data.

I think there's probably a significant difference between the 20 - 24 and 25-30 demographics though, particularly as that split is about the time you finish uni and start your career.

Well so far 30 - 39 seems to be leading, and with a few 20 - 29’s leaving this year, I think there’s a clear winner forming.

AFF doesn’t, but if you’ve been reading up on all the different gathering threads here you’d have your answer

I think that's probably accurate, especially when considering my own circumstances.

I joined Qantas FF in 2003 (I was 19) and sat at Bronze for a few years. I joined QP when I was 21, and hit PS when I was 23 and SG in recent times.

Now I'm 26 and my travel is increasing exponentially. I'm about to hit WP for the first time (in July at the latest) and will most likely hit PG (my year expires end of October)
