I recall the JL Sakura lounge was the designated QC associate lounge. Though with OW benefits I made way straight to the BA lounge. CX lounge did not exist I think back in 2011.

Re: Are you missing something? Agree that would be one for the true aviation nutters (I mean fan). Also perhaps a airport museum would be another fun way to make those most of this dump.

Agree with this. The double decker with the limited exits really do slow Sydney trains during peak hour. Combine this with Stations such as Townhall that cannot cope with the traffic and it's one hell of an inefficient trip.

For Int LH, Evening departure with a full dinner experience in the lounge and onboard is ideal. Generally less hectic at the airport too. However it may result in a less than ideal arrival time.

Have flown BKK-SYD a number times on both QF and EK. Personal greeting and express pass on EK as SG, nothing extra inflight on QF.

If your favouring going via HKG with CX, and crediting to QFF. Looks like JL codeshares on the CX PER-HKG leg then onto JL metal HKG-TYO. If JL prices similar to CX, then check to see if the JL booking codes gets better earn rates than CX.
