I loved Pandaw cruising up the Irrawaddy last year - Bagan was spectacular. We made it up to Katha and saw/walked through the house George Orwell supposedly lived in. Great country and I'd love to return - hopefully their political situation will continue to improve.

Stayed at a small, obviously recently renovated hotel in Haeinsa South Korea where the toilet had been placed too close to the door in the bathroom and rather than redo the plumbing they'd cut a toilet shaped hole in the door to allow it to swing inwards.

I'm there from 6/2 to 12/2 after having gone to Asahidake and Kiroro. Never been to any of those places before, just Sahoro and Rusutsu in Hokkaido. Looking forward to it...
