Unfortunately the prices are somewhat store specific. 3 Stores within 15 mins of me and there are many cases of wines with 2 different clearance prices or wines with a clearance price at one store, and the normal price at another.
If you figured that one out yourself - well done. Because I couldnt figure it out. According to Vinomofo themselves, that is correct. Only problem from here is that the wine is a complete unknown. No idea what vineyard its from and no reviews. Considering how badly Brokenwood price gouge wines...
If you can Source out the 2016 vintage its a good quaffer and better than the 2014 & 15 were. Certainly not a wine to be aged though. Wasted 5 years of cellar space with the 2014 myself.
Have these Langtons surveys ever produced a voucher for anyone on here? Looks like thats 0 from 2 for me. Simply dont get anything from doing the survey. Seems like a scam?
Just for anyone interested. 2012 was a really wet vintage in the Hunter, might be the worst HV vintage in the last 10 years. Disastrous for shiraz. Seems as though there have been some ok whites (semillon) that I have tried though.
Interested to know how your bottle was on opening? I had one of these 6 months ago and I couldnt believe how closed it was for the first hour or maybe even more. Closed might not even be the right word....dead, asleep?......To the point where I was regretting buying so many of these, thankfully...
Have been waiting to see what others opinions are on this. I have had both and I have to say the 16 is nothing compared to the 15. Although you could say the 16 is just showing nothing because its way too young, and for some reason the 15 is in a really big open and generous 'drink now' style...
Interested to know which secret deal sems from hunter valley have been duds? This wine is Margan White Label. Absolute bargain. Should be better than the 15 that they were selling a while ago.
