My account was suspended on 12 May and I still can't get in - so much for 30 days! I've been abroad since early June but will chase this up when I get back next week. Unimpressed....

I still can't get into my account.

Used my card today for an online Catch.com.au purchase and got an email seconds later confirming I had used my "Spend & Get" offer. So yes, spend on anything. Thanks Amex, very generous of you.

Anywhere, it seems: "Save the offer to your eligible Card and spend in-person, in-app or online at any American Express accepting business by 14/07/2023 to receive a 20% credit each time, up to AU$100 back in total. Exclusions apply." On my Explorer but not my husband's Platinum Edge.

I've now received a second email (the last in February when this post was started) saying my account has been updated (when it hasn't by me). I can get into my account and my points are still there but it then says the account is inactive, suspended or closed. Rang Virgin and got the same...

Seriously? One of the things I love about the UK is how cheap eating out is compared with Australia. And I don't come from an inexpensive part of the country. I always warn UK visitors about how expensive Australia is and no-one has yet corrected me.
