More "enhancements" to QF Chauffer Drive and Dubai Connect

I got a call from the chauffeur company confirming my pick-up time for tomorrow! No need to slum it in a taxi. I'll still drink all the extra champagne in the FLounge and on-board to make up for the last minute stress. :P

More "enhancements" to QF Chauffer Drive and Dubai Connect

I gave up trying to get any help over the phone with Qantas with this, after getting conflicting information from phone agents. (Poor service for someone flying First, even on an award). It would appear my chauffeur has been canceled, though. No offer of compensation. Was tempted to cancel the...

Do OWS's get the same seat selecting ability as QF SG members on qantas.com ?

I honestly have no idea -- I fled QFF for AA a few years ago, and it's been a long time since I last flew as a OWS! As a OWE, I haven't noticed any differences in seat selection to what a QF WP has access to -- but I could be mistaken. :) I flew QF PE on a daytime flight to HKG. I had no...

More "enhancements" to QF Chauffer Drive and Dubai Connect

Oh dear, I just noticed this thread -- my chauffeur drive booking for an F AAward three days from now has disappeared off qantas.com, too. Very poor form on QF's part to (seemingly) cancel something -- without notice or any contact -- that has been locked in for weeks. Off to try and sort this...

Do OWS's get the same seat selecting ability as QF SG members on qantas.com ?

I'm not sure about AA Plat/OWS, but I certainly was able to pre-select the front row PE 388 seats on QF as an AA EXP/OWE on a trip I made a couple of months ago.

    Seat selection BA AAward flight.

Great to know! Worked for me with an AA award I currently have on hold.

    Seat selection BA AAward flight.

I haven't had an issue with my AA EXP/OWE status being recognised immediately on BA.com, and being able to select seats once the FF# is changed -- I've been using the Finnair website trick for the past couple of years. YMMV, of course. :)

    Seat selection BA AAward flight.

You can change your AA FF# number to QF by entering your PNR and other details on the Finnair or Royal Jordanian websites. The change is then reflected back on BA.com, and you'll be able to select your seats and get your other status benefits. (I do this pretty often myself, when booking an...

    Seat selection BA AAward flight.

Since OP is QF WP/oneworld Emerald there shouldn't be a charge when selecting a seat in advance through BA or BA.com. Of course, you'll need to get that BA/Amadeus PNR by ringing AA first! :)

Confirmed - AAdvantage now enforcing 4 segment rule for status

A little trick that's potentially useful for Aussies looking to meet the 4 segment requirement: AA may be able to switch codeshare flights on AA metal to their AA-coded equivalents. AA have been able to do this for EY- and QR-issued tickets for me this year. Recently, I was flying...

    Credit card verification by CX

Some of CX's sale/promo fares are only bookable on CX.com and aren't more widely available through TA/OTAs; those fares also don't show up on sites like ITA Matrix. Current example is the ex-MLE J saver fare to the US (e.g. ~$1.4k one way in J MLE-HKG-JFK).

Earn up to 100,000 miles between U.S. and Asia

If only! :) Award tickets aren't eligible for this promo. AA's award inventory classes are Z (for first), U (for business) and T (for coach) and they aren't listed in the T&C.

Earn up to 100,000 miles between U.S. and Asia

Those flying in J get the same number of bonus miles, too! :)

Using a US address for AAdvantage account

Likewise, the Passport Challenge miles (all 5000 of them!) posted to my AA account despite having an Australian address. :)

bonus 3 and 4 miles post time

I completed an EY triple miles offer back in May and the bonus miles took about about a month to post my account. The T&C of the current offer says that "the bonus miles will be credited within three weeks after the promotion ends", so I wouldn't be too concerned that they aren't in your account...
