No idea about venue so looking for suggestions. I will more than likely be staying at Ibis Glen Waverley and will have a hire car.

Not sure if I can make it, but I worked in the general area many years ago and can recall dinner at Fedele's being very nice (and close) , and we used to lunch just a bit further away at Shanika's in Mt Waverley - this was fine (little less formal than Fedele's and priced accordingly). Both are Italian, and it would be 12 to 15 years since I have eaten at either of them.

Glen Waverley is about as far east of the city as I live west. I would prefer something more central, then I could manage one hour home instead of two.

not really a typical pub in Glen Waverly, other than the Novotel but the restaurants are very good around there, but have to book early like most places on a Saturday. there are one or two bars come restaurants, Shine Café Bar and restaurant is good
