I have just caught up with Cat207 and the airport, and it is clear that a few AFFers, BookCrossers, Ingressers, and PokemonGoers will be Darwin in town next week for various reasons, so let's catch up for dinner & drinks.

Monday 18 July OR Tuesday 19 July
After work dinner & drinks

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements

Unfortunately I will not be up that way next week - hopefully Captain Haliday and ChasingDaylight (if he is still in DRW) will see this thread

Thanks for the invite! However I've long since left DRW (although I was there briefly on Monday and Sunday for a flying visit) and am now in the Armed Forces. My FF/jetsetting days are behind me sadly.

I was also in Perth briefly last Friday and Saturday - I should have hit you up Steady on the off chance you were free. Perhaps in another six months!

You should send out a post if you are traveling- there are friendly AFFers everywhere
(I am Tassie based but get about a bit)

Okay, so I think it will just be the 4 of us... Any cuisine or date preferences?

If it is BYO I can throw a bottle of wine in my hand carry... heh, who am I kidding, I'll bring wine anyway.

We are all easy.

Any good BYO places?

Or we can go to the waterfront? There are few restaurants there? There are a few restaurants in cullen bay too

I'm pretty easy.

Tim's Surf and Turf is definitely BYO as I took a wine there a while ago. A few of the more "pub"-like places, and most of Mitchell St seem to be fully licenced.

Cullen Bay is a little far for me to walk, so would need to grab a taxi.

I think you are right. Most restaurants on Mitchell St are licensed. I think even the ones in Smith St and waterfronts are licensed too.

I haven't been to Tim's surf and turf since last years Amex shop small promotion. If they do BYO we can go there. Also if you guys need a lift let me know. I'm happy to pick up you guys.

Ok, executive decision

Rorkes Beer Wine Food, 22 Smith Street, Darwin, Northern Territory 0800
6:30 pm tonight

Booking under my name for 4 people outside.
