First this hotel is not in Sapporo but Shin Sapporo which is a few miles away. But it is right at the JR station-280Y into Sapporo and the Tozai subway-310Y to Odori which is central to many attractions. Also quite a few cheap local restaurants, shops and supermarkets in close proximity.
As SPG plat upgraded to a Corner room-these used to be called junior suites but really shouldn't have been. Now they advertise only 2 specialty suites. You get the breakfast buffet along with points.Lots of Japanese choices, western more limited but a great egg station.
So to the pictures-

The bathroom is very small. The downstairs cafe is next to a chapel-

And our view of the local area, the opposite side to the station and view to Sapporo-

In the distance a local memorial and the Hokkaido Historical village-

But just in closing-Sapporo is famous for it's winter highlights but we found this week a lot to reccomend it in summer. The Sapporo Summer festival is on and we have seen many traditional Japanese activities. The locals also have been very friendly.
So we have had no problems with the hotel or Sapporo and reccomend them both. However if you want to be in Sapporo proper this is not the place for you.

Good summary by drron.

I stayed here back in November 2010 and got assigned a very similar room on a high floor - it was still referred to as a junior suite back then.

Stay were very friendly but I found English was a bit limited. I was basically "assigned" an english speaking staff member who would come running out every time I was spotted to see if I needed anything - I felt bad that she was basically assigned to baby sit me!

I was very happy with the hotel (esp. at under $80 a night) and even though I liked the sort of suburban location - I'd be tempted to stay in downtown sapporo next time.

I remember they also has a very reasonably priced in house laundry service!

Can't compete with drron but my room photos:
