We needed a 1 night stopover before the ferry to Amsterdam & Greenview House came with good recommendations on Trip Advisor. An easy 5 minute walk from the train station saw us knocking on the door of a typically old, done-up house with 3 rooms to rent. We had reserved a twin room with own bathroom. Although pretty small it was clean & comfortable. The Abbey Inn was only a 50 metre wander down the road & tap beer & wine was cold & less than 6 pound for the 2. No meals available so it was a quick detour to the local chipper for a huge serve of chips & equally large pieces of fish. A few more pints & wines, the start of Manchester United semi of the Champions League and we were crashing before dark. Breakfast was a flexible time & we enjoyed fruit, yoghurt & cereal & then a freshly cooked full English breakfast. Our bags were happily stored for the day to enable us to wander the city.
