Etihad Award Tickets with Velocity

Hi,

Does anyone know if Etihad charges/pass on fuel surcharges and other excessive fees when an award seat is booked via Velocity website?

I did the online quote and it says 65,000 + $76 or 77,000 points (for Mel-abudhabi). But it doesn't let me select and go to the next step as I don't have this may points in my account at the moment. I need to know the airline charges before I transfer my CC points to Velocity. Called the number, but no help. Apparently they don't have authorisation as I don't have enough points to proceed.

Can someone please confirm the other charges for Etihad Guest Award Ticket when booked with Velocity?

It's 47,000 points and $77.62 + $30 card fee or 58,100 points no taxes.

This will make the cheapest award ticket to Europe!! There goes my CC points to Velocity. Damn I miss when they had 15%+15% offer a couple of months back.

May have it on again in April if you can wait. I am hoping for some sort of bonus before I transfer!
