BNE -> MEL -> AUH -> LHR - Baggage checked through?

Am flying next week on the above route - all on the same ticket though obviously a combo of Virgin Australia domestic flights, and VA codeshared Etihad Int'l flights.

Question is when I check in at Brisbane - will my bags be checked through to London? Or will I have to collect them at Melbourne and re-check in? I only have 1h50m stopover at MEL, and I need to get to the TRS desk too so don't wanna be too rushed

Never done it from BNE but flown MEL-SYD-AUH-LHR and bags were checked through from MEL no problem.

Ah thats interesting- hope so then. Would be nice not to have to worry about retrieving 2 bags at MEL and re-checking them.

Was your flight Etihad operated from SYD to LHR?

No it was VA operated but as long it's one ticket i doubt it will be a problem.

If it's all on one ticket, your bags will get checked through to the final destination.
