LOL. Got the offer a couple of hours after I made a number of bookings. I requaled for plat ages ago, so SCs pretty useless to me now (I won't be reaching P1), so I'm ambivalent.

But I looked closely (this time! :) ) at the dates and conditions. It says to register and book between 22 Nov and 22 Feb 14. Well I did both of that - except I happened to have booked on the 22nd before I registered on the 22nd. Wonder if I'll get the extra SCs :D

Give QF frequent flyer's department a call on Monday and they can sort it out for you :)

I thhink you will. It doesn't say you have to register first and then book.

Got the 50% SC offer this morning too. Even with this i doubt I'll make WP again, new house takes precedence. :(

Just out of curiosity, does anyone known if Qantas will run a DSC promotion at the same time as a 50% promotion. As per above there is a 50% promotion out to some now, has Qantas sent a DSC offer around the same time in the past?

There have been overlaps in the past, however only the most beneficial offer applies to your flight, no double dipping.

By there own admission QF run some of these selectively and some at random so it is probably fair to say that nobody knows 'if' they will run them at the same time. As markis10 correctly points out you only get one or the other.

The "October 1.5 offer" specified that the "first registered offer" takes precedence.

So that would suck if you got a 1.5 immediately overlapped with a DSC.

Got my first 1.5x offer ever. Makes sense though, since the last month is the first time I've done any serious amount of flying on Qantas. Good thing I have 3 returns to book this week (the offer is only valid for flights booked this week)

Pity my anniversary is at the end of Feb though. Will make Silver by the end of Dec, but Gold by end of Feb will be touch and go.

Gold is a good result if you can stretch it.

Thanks guys. Got some travel coming up and was being a little optimistic, though already received a DSC and a 1.5x this year... not sure if I'll make a hatrick !

I wouldn't have decided to try and retain platinum if I didn't get the 1.5 SC offer... I'm glad I got it :)

I just got a DSC e mail offer.

Yippee wish I could actually find some time to travel but is not looking good to take advantage of it.

I just got a DSC offer this morning, but it's limited to domestic flights taken in December and January, that are booked in December. How can I earn significant amounts of SC's on domestic that has any meaningful impact on status? Seems an odd offer, timed even more oddly.

And strangely the DSC offer has come to me just as my re qualification period has rolled over -my WP expired midnight last night (but the website still has details current as at Friday night ie I'm platinum and re-qualification occurs 30 November 2013).

Its a program-wide offer.

Fortunately for me I have to book 3 X OOL ADL via SYD RTN in J class so that nets me 200 per RTN and with DSC thats 400 so the 1200 SC on top of what I have will put me at 2540 SC with 7 months of my year left to retain P1

48000 points and $600 or so for 480 SCs would be a meaningful impact on many folks balance.

cough, so I booked a JASA in JAN for DRW-TSV; and now am trying to take advantage of the DSC. If I cancel my current booking, how fast will the seats be released back into the inventory for me to book again?

Exactly the same for me on all counts
