Hey guys,

Probably a pretty obvious one but I've tried to work it out myself via Velocity site and older threads here but I've seen different answers in different posts... so if I fly VA Melbourne to Vegas how many SCs do I get (probably traveling PE).

Is it for the single 8100 miles trip (150 on PE) or is it per sector (MEL-SYD-LA-LV or MEL-LA-LV)?

Sorry for the n00b Q :D

Need to look at the individual fare classes for MEL-SYD and LAX-LAS where PE is not offered.
I suspect both will earn 10/20 SCs depending on class.

So if I pay for PE I should get 30+120+30? But in all likelyhood an economy seat on Delta LAX-LAS?

Suggest you call the call centre and run a dummy booking and ask what class the internals are booked into. Note that if you book kmto PE on VA and you choose VX, you'll get Main cabin select. Also check the DL flight as some won't earn you anything on VA. delta connection skywest operates lax-las is a "subbied" operator. Just Make sure it's a DL operated flight.

I've flown LAS-LAX on a DL code and operated by 'SkyWest DBA Delta Connection' with my partner, and we both received points and SCs for the flight - in the USA, SkyWest-operated flights with a DL code do qualify for VA points/SCs, though DL codeshare flights on other airlines do not qualify (as the points earn data is apparently sent by the operating carrier, as opposed to the codeshare partner).

Anyone else can confirm that US skywest fares on a Delta flight number earn SC on Velocity? Just booked lax san return in First (G class fare) and will be relying on this to hit platinum.

Thanks for that m4m... Managed to find a cheap fare. I was lucky. Last time I checked it was prohibitively expensive and I checked back this week to find a sale on. Probably should have set up a price alert through kayak but all's well that ends well.
