Hi all, just a quick hypothetical question. If I purchase a fare for my mother to visit me and for some reason we decide to cancel the flight, as I paid for the fare for her, would the refund go to my travel bank? I would assume it would go back to the passenger (my mum), but does the system recognise who actually paid for the flight?

I don't think it matters who paid for the flight. The travel bank will more than likely go back to the main person on the booking.

We have had this just recently. The travel bank is set up for the person travelling (ie your mum) but apparently she can call Virgin to authorise the credit to be used for another person. Haven't tested the second part of that though...

Yes, can be used to book a flight for another person. She should get login details which she can use when booking online (if not already a VFF member).

Does this work the same for buying other peoples travel bank balances?? Often see them on gumtree but wasnt sure how easy it was and then whether you do bookings for persons other then yourselves or the person who owns the balance..

Has anyone purchased others balances before?
