VA/SIA lounge access and partner perks

I seem to remember something being said about improving partner arrangements between VA and SIA soon. I am VA Plat and flying back from Rome to Singapore, I will be on the last J class seat available, my Husband has kindly told me to take it and will be in Y for the trip to Singapore and then joining me in J for the flight back to Oz, do you think we will be allowed lounge access for him in Rome, we both only have basic status on Kris Flyer so i'm hoping somehow my VA Plat and/or J class seat will allow me to guest him into the lounge at least.

I would say no in Rome . VA Plat only have access to silver KF lounges Worldwide SilverKris Lounges and Rome is not a location

looking at the SQ page .. it does not say you can guest someone if one of you is in J --You can enjoy access to our lounges if you are our Suites, First or Business
Class passenger, or PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold members departing on Singapore Airlines operated flights
