Ducking off to Sochi, Russia for a few weeks of work at a cold, icy event in February.

The challenge? How to get to Sochi, and have some lounge access and points/SC accrual?

Etihad is your friend.
I couldn't get them to be my friend - best I thought was something like SYD-AUH-IST-AER - perhaps on Turkish Airlines for the last leg. I thought perhaps EY might add flights to Sochi for the games, but couldn't see anything.

ooh I was gonna suggest EY to Moscow but it looks as though all the decent airlines codeshare on a, lets says "slightly less decent" airline to get to Sochi. Still, you'd have lounge access at Moscow.
