I was just having a bit of a look at a credit card statement. I noticed 2 things. Firstly Virgin Australia have charged the fare and $7.70 credit card fee as separate transactions.

The other interesting thing is that they are listed under various lcoations.

ie
VIRGIN AUSTRALIA 99401 WINTON AU - cash fare
VIRGIN AUSTRALIA 99401 BAMAGA AU - reward

Whereas in early Jan it was:

VIRGIN AUSTRALIA BOWEN BOWEN HILLS AU

These are not fraudulent, I made the purchases.

Anyone else seen this?

Yeah, one of mine is located in Gympie and i think i've got a winton too. Maybe they moved the processing centre onto a barge for the floods?

Had all sorts of billing issues lately - so double-check the transactions for this stuff.

S.O. paid for a flight, and was charged twice. (The second set of charges were split up over 4x transactions, 2 of which were carbon offsets.)

After about 15 minutes of arguing, Velocity CCR in Philippines suggested we fax our bank about it. (WTF?)

Called the bank, they said "Yeah, this happens with them pretty often... I've reversed the transaction, and you're all set!"

[edit: Just re-checked mine... Now on the phone with the bank again :\ ]
