The Velocity Status Run Master thread

I haven't booked any connecting flights yet, and won't until just before, but worst case scenario they cancel and refund.

FWIW, I'm 1F.

I don't know if we are talking about the same fare, however if VA were to cancel after placing the booking over a week ago I'd be mighty annoyed and would expect them to fix up my other travel arrangement that have been made around the bookings that have been confirmed by VA.

hmm i wonder if this will turn into one of those ex- RGN mistake episodes again. Honor/not honor - legal or not legal to cancel........time will I tell I guess.

Are you suggesting booking connections now, just to make it harder for them to cancel?

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

It looks like the B11-18 range are sold out or no longer available. Well done to any who picked one of them up.

Correction: I am getting an error on the website.
Being a newbie, I went looking in the cash section of the VA site. I think these runs should be moved to A from B as they are still points runs (even if they are 0 points).

I'm not confident B19 will happen...

I think they'll sort themselves out before then. Plus flights to that destination tend to be more expensive for... Transit reasons...

Agreed, but we need to retain references to them inside the "B" sheet for the sake of continuity in the discussion here... At least until they're sold out.

P.S. Who else is on B11/12? Would love to meet a few AFFs in the lounge.

Im sure a couple of us will pounce if B19 goes ahead, shame i can't do weekend runs i.e B12!

Now we just need a nice juicy mistake fare/sub-138 ppSC route to come along!!

The events over the weekend have proven why this spreadsheet is such an excellent idea and shows it is already working well. For those who posted the finds, thankyou for sharing your knowledge with us.

For those who booked those finds, congratulations and enjoy your trips.

This is a great way to share specialised information with those who respect it. Far better than that ridiculous trick it thread on FT which requires Rainman like abilities to decode. This is still an evolving beast but I hope the unwritten rules of access and respect will continue.

Speaking of access... when I requested access from a different email address to what is used on this site, I was granted access straight away.

Shouldn't we be cross-referencing users against emails who request access, otherwise any one (read: Airline staff) could just sign up with gmail and request access.

Mods dont even get visibility on what email address goes with what user name, so which ever one is used does not really matter, we have other ways to ascertain identity.
