Cheap Virgin seats to USA

I see Virgin have some cheap seats to USA in Aug., anyone know if seats can be selected at this fare level?.

You can select seats for a fee of $20 or $25.

"Advanced seat selection is not available for V Promo fares", guess at $1095 can't expect too much

Pretty sure that anyone with a shiny card from VA ought to be able to select seats, even on a "V Promo" fare.

Yeah just gave it a dummy run, was able to select sets even without my shiny card
At such low cost thinking might have to go stay with friends in Calgary for couple weeks!.
See Qantas want about $500 more, crazy.

Seat selection was available on V Promo fares less than 12 mths ago, when my mate booked fare for flight in Aug 2012! No status either.

I recently booked econonomy v promo seats 25th July 15th August MEL-LAX return for about a grand each, with advance seat selection.

Can't get better than that...

Was $150 last year (2012), but I think it may have increased to $160 to match QF. Surely this info is detailed on the Virgin website?
