I have done a bit of flying the last year, and had some status credits, and points which I wasnt too worried about, until I realised the benefit of status and points, as such I have made a concerted effort to use partners for car rentals, accomodation and obviously booking all my travel with v.

However on a recent trip, the etihad leg was not credited in my family pool, and had those points been credited correctly, would have upgraded my status causing me to earn additional points bonuses on the flights following the status change.

My status credits earnt last year are expiring this month, and wanted these to count towards my next status up which i think they would have, if my points / sc been correctly added.

I called the call centre, but they couldnt understand what I meant, and despite sending copies of eticket and boarding pass, and making request urgent, I got a response saying it will be 6 weeks....exasperating considering we've been abroad a month and the status change would have meant additional bonus points but now I dont see my status changing if the points drop off....any suggestions?

Call, ask to speak to a senior velocity supervisior and clearly explain that the failure to correctly allocate status credits and points has prevented you from being upgraded to a high membership level that you should be eligible to attain.
