In just over 7 months since my FF renewal date I've done 1,680sc and I think when I get on another plane I will hurt myself...

I'm seriously sick and tired of it... I did QF25 in J and yeah by the 7 hr mark I just wanted to be off the plane... I have 11 flights this month... and though most if it's in J I just don't want to do it anymore... it use to be exciting but now... farout...

Does anyone else get sick of it all?

In a word, nope (although my wife would rather I got sick of it).

Yep! Completed a whY+ trip to the UK in February. Got back from a whY trip to the UK in late March and doing a whY+ trip to the UK today followed by a whY+ trip to US in the first week of May. Already racked up 100 hours in the air in 2011!

It's all J & F, apart from China, for the rest of the year so it makes it a bit more bearable. :)

No.But I am mainly a leisure traveller so always a new adventure.Come on May.

i qualified for platinum last year, and fell just short of parnter gold (this would have been wasted), then went for ten months with no flights due to study / work commitments.
cant say i missed it a heap during that time (nearly all leisure flights for me), but am glad to be back in the air again this year.

I wouldn't say I'm sick of it but I don't find flying anywhere near as exciting as I did when I was a kid. Probably because flying back then was a treat as we did it once in a blue moon.

I'm travelling a lot less with work this year and must say after a few years of flying most weeks I've enjoyed being home!

Now I'm actively trying to minimise my work travel. With work and leisure travel it looks like I'll be flying about once every six weeks which seems to be a happy balance at the moment.

Only down-side is that it raises the question of whether to do a couple of status runs to keep SG or just buy QC when my membership year ends in January.

I get sick of short and frequent commuter flights. For example, there was a period last year where I was on either the 6:45am CBR-SYD flight or the 6:40am CBR-MEL flight 2-3 times a week for 2 months straight.

I got over that very quickly.

But longer travel at reasonable hours I still enjoy :)

I hope I'm not sick of flying yet, I have about a dozen flights coming up in the next 8 weeks, then a month later I start my first DONE4....

I do though hate the MEL-SYD, or MEL-ADL early morning flights, definitely over them!!

The actual flying I can hack, but flight crew constantly talking over the loud speaker on short trips I can't handle and that's what makes it frustrating for me.

Yes, that's annoying on CBR flights.

That and the taxi to 34R in SYD which feels as long as the flight itself :p

Add into that a bunch of noob flyers (oversized onboard suitcases, oversized people, babies, ppl putting bags under seat in exit rows, kids with ipods/psp before takeoff, folks snuck hot coffee onboard) and cabin crew who insist on repeating "this is a non-smoking flight" five times before takeoff, THEN continue to talk slowly in a dry stale voice for the rest of it 'lights will be dimmed for takeoff......'

Compared to most LOTFAP flights where flight crew seem scared to make any kind of announcement - makes the flight quiet, calm and easy.

end rant :p

+1 The taxi to RWY 34R feels soooo long, it is really bad when you land on 16L..... I just want to get to the gate already.

So far this year;

27 sectors,
69,490 miles,
154.67 hours

all in Y.

I have another 3 sectors, 6,291 miles and 14.25 hours to go in the next 2 days. :(

I'm over it.

Thankfully not, i tend to only fly in clumps maybe once a year for leisure, after which getting home to my own bed and normal life is good, but after a few months i start thinking about travelling again... although i have about 18-20 sectors coming over 3 months with quite a few short sectors all in whY, so will see how i feel after that...

I can't imagine getting a job that requires full on flying so I hope i never become that jaded with it that it loses all appeal, but that is the worry with doing some you like for a job, I've thought before that anything can be good when your free to choose to do it, its when your forced to do it for a job, day in day out whether you feel like it or not that a passion could become a chore...

I also read some people's reports after travelling in J and in J lounges etc and on flight after flight its almost like they have something to complain about on each one... having never travelled J i hope i never become that jaded with that either... i can't see it happening... :)

Nope, although I haven't done any flights yet this year... (Change of employer), although I'm looking at 2 short trips in May, and the ability to run my area how I want (provided I bring in the $$$) which will increase my trips again...

Not sick of flying yet, but I am sick of jumping through hoops to ensure I get some space in the overhead bin. I can manage to comply with the cabin baggage rules, why can't others?

So far this year, I have 120 hours in the air over 25 flights. All of them except a *Class SIN-MEL in Y. That rate puts me on track for a similar total to last year (490 hrs and 93 flights) all in Y except for op-ups. (1980 SC for my QFF YTD with two months to go)

I have to say that I am sick of flying in Y. Before the GFC, we had a policy of J for 8+ hour flights. Now it's all Y and I seriously miss J (food, seats, space)...

No.. but I can see why YOU are!!

My travel is 100% recreational... I only get to do 3 real trips each year (plus domestic and NZ a few times) so in my case it is a matter of keen anticipation for each trip...

I've got a simple SYD-AKL-LAX (-ABQ) vv in June.. on NZ in J (yay!)

Then a far more complex trip in Jul/August.. about 16 segments mainly in J/domestic F..

and I travelled to PHX in Feb... booked in Y+ on NZ but UG's cleared both ways..

So I'm still "lovin' it"!

I can forgive the long taxi provided that upon hitting the threshold the pilot guns it for take off without stopping - best done in a 767 :)
