This may have been posted on FT, but I didn’t see it here. As an old member of the Marco Polo Club, I received an email last night outlining an enhanced benefit program for members, even sometimes to the lowest level. I’m not sure exactly if everything or anything has changed, but thought I’d pass it on regardless.

For example, at the Hilton even a Green MPC ("NB") member like me can receive early check-in/out, somehow. This could be quite useful.

Interesting that there are benefits even for Green members, i.e. equivalent of QF NB.

Also possible for Diamonds to buy access to the F Lounges using miles:
Access to Cathay Pacific Business Class lounge or Dragonair lounge is available for redemption with 7,000 Asia Miles per person. Access to Cathay Pacific First Class lounge is only available for Diamond members for redemption at 10,000 Asia Miles per person.

Interesting that there are benefits even for Green members, i.e. equivalent of QF NB.

Yeah it’s not bad, but at least for Hilton, it seems there’s nothing better for Diamond compared to Green anyway, so it’s not the best relaunch.

That thread was posted roughly when I got my email from them, except I was in bed and couldn’t be bothered to log on anywhere and start a thread.

But Diamond members would already have access? I’ve used my miles in the past to buy entry to the The Pier when I wasn’t even Silver. I guess useful if you wanted to guest more people in.

Isn't MPC Green more similar to QP NB (without lounge access) or QF PS (without most OW Ruby privileges)?

I know that no lounge access is a significant omission (less so elite bonuses), but there certainly are some priority privileges for all MPC members that aren't available to plain NB's.

I always though NB was more like Asia Miles.

As a MPC Green I don’t believe I have any extra baggage allowances and certainly don’t have lounge access. I’d compare MPC Silver to QP NB as it gives lounge access when travelling on CX.

I guess there might be online check-in with MPC Green? I haven’t flown CX for a number of years so couldn’t tell you, though they did give me Green luggage tags.
