Shocked at what ?I had incorrectly assumed the photo was at WSI, but now I understand the previous photo better.
However, I remain shocked.

Shocked that a destination board said Western Sydney”…Shocked at what ?

We can finally say, you land at Sydney and see the roos hopping around. Was always a misconception from Int'l ppl that you land into SYD and there's wildlife right there. It does seem kinda weird to be arriving at an “international airport” which feels like it’s in the middle of a field. The security guy said he saw kangaroos right out the front the other day.

As a local, Westfield Liverpool isn't worth visiting. Come check out the metro if you haven't been on it yet; the extension opens on FridayIm all checked in for my Friday afternoon flight up to WSI from Melbourne. I'm even staying at Mercure Liverpool for the full western Sydney experience. I have friends out that way so it works out nicely.
Arriving could be problematic. Are you flying out of Kingsford or Nancy?![]()
Thanks I'm not going to Westfield. Having Chinese at Mounties and probably a few drinks at the Catholic club joined to the Mercure before I go backAs a local, Westfield Liverpool isn't worth visiting
It may be best to keep your expectations on the low side.… for the full western Sydney experience

I know that is the case when the aircraft have their own built-in stairs - as with Ryanair, for example.I think airports charge airlines more for using an airbridge, hence LCCs tend not to use them.
I think I heard in a video somewhere the automated function isn't in use yet.Albeit it's supposedly automated bridges at WSI, so maybe a lower charge (plus with so few flights the staff need practice)
From memory a set of steps needs 2 members of staff to operate but an air bridge needs 4 total. Or somethingI know that is the case when the aircraft have their own built-in stairs - as with Ryanair, for example.
But otherwise they would still have to pay ground services to wheel out the airport's stairs.
Do Australian airports really charge less for this then for use of an aerobridge?
Actually I enjoy western Sydney. Great food optionsIt may be best to keep your expectations on the low side.![]()

Now that I’ve said that I can’t find a single source for my claim though
