I flew with Sir Ian McKellen on Thursday’s QF161 in J from SYD-WLG. Sir Ian is in NZ to start shooting on The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum.

I tried not to bump Sir Ian’s seat too much, even as he failed in what I thought would have been his natural duty to prevent Y people from being able to pass into the J lav

I recently flew on the same flight as the current federal Leader Of The Opposition, Angus Taylor MP, on QF1522 MEL-CBR, in J. He was in a different row to me, so no communication took place.

Interestingly, it was quite an empty J cabin for that flight. On the QF A220s, there are 10 J seats (staggered) and only 3 were filled (AT, me, and one other person).

N.B.. I'm merely stating a name, not trying to start a political debate.

Later that night, completely separate to the above, I caught up with @Ade.

Little did I know that our very own @MG1 was the quite the entertainer at Karaoke

The whole club was pumping and jumping to his performance

Post event there may or may not have been fans from the audience swarming around @MG1 to take pics or ask for an autograph

Not in a lounge … but I saw someone maybe-famous being transported last week.

Wandering along the bank of the Thames that Westminster is on, and notice there’s a random guy looking in the general direction of a road tunnel exit. Well that’s odd, what’s he looking at? Look that way myself, and that’s strange a few roads are blocked-off and there’re a few police bikes parked … then shortly after, 2 black Range Rovers with a marked police car leading emerge from that tunnel, and a few of the police bikes follow as they proceed down the road a bit quicker than I suspect the speed-limit is there …

It was like something out of a spy movie!

I covered a range of artists that night, such as The King (Elvis), Gordon Lightfoot (amazing story-teller, under-rated), and The Blues Brothers (classic 1980 movie).
