Buying Atmos points (Alaska Airlines)

As a long-time user of Alaska Air Points, I usually like to top-up my points when discounted as I've found them to be quite useful/valuable when booking Qantas domestic flights and BA short distance flights.. However I haven't purchased any points since the Hawaiian Air merger last year.

OMAAT published an article that Alaska Air is currently offering 100% bonus when purchasing Atmos points , however when I logged in I was offered no bonus. Other non North American users have tried and also offered zero bonus. Just wondering whether any Australians are experiencing any success being offered bonus points during this 19Jan '26 to 18 Feb '26 promotion?

Same long time user of Alaskan miles and I just experienced the same thing. No bonus.

I turned on a VPN for USA and Cloud Flare (I think) blocked me. Might try again later.

@Mattg mentioned to me last night that, IIRC, only one bonus offer in the last couple of years has been made available to those outside USA.

Checking back through my Alaska Air history, thats right. I guess the past several years have seen the shine drop off of Alaska redemptions, when Cathay Pacific redemptions dropped off the radar during Covid and never recovered. Around that time I transitioned to Aeroplan, and Avios for more reliable international redemptions. And gradually burnt through my cache of Mileage Plan points for ADL-PER J class redemptions. Alaska had great phone customer service in contrast to the lacklustre service when dealing with Qantas , except for the time they merged with Virgin and the level of training diminished.

I guess I'll need to revert to Avios, Velocity and QFF redemptions for those Domestic flights, if purchasing discounted ATMOS points is no longer possible.
