Apparently, because I followed the sign up flow and put in my Velocity number after subscribing to VIP, I won't get my points until after my 3rd $50 payment. WTF?!

20,000 (er: edit, 10,000 ) VFF points is good, but just you want till when you want to stop it, and they will play the dirty tricks of trying to deter you from having the dd.
My old pops, was having the dd, and took half an hour of him and my brother, trying to tell the RSL outsourced art union person, that due to his age, he does not want the dd anymore.
They (the other side), used so much a sob story, ...

Got my 10,000 points the same day my card was charged for the second month. Cancelled online.

Have to say it was a much smoother process than the last time I bought tickets from these guys a few years ago. Then I was spammed repeatedly via email and phone calls to come back. Have received nothing this time.

If you dont have any direct debits from that particular card, call the bank, or issuer and explain.
You need a new card, with new exp date and new CCVcode, or they will do the direct debit again.
Just because you have told them to stop online, does not mean they will stop.
If you want to keep this card open, keep an eye out for what happens 28 days from today.
5 pooch cents says they will direct debit your card again.
To put it mildly, these people are financial crooks, took my dad more than 5 times, until my brother got involved, and then still its the hard sell, (lost opportunity), etc.

Definitely some unusual and possibly predatory business practices going on.

What I discovered was they reduced the number of houses being raffled each year while they had also increased the ticket price. So a monthly subscription that we had for years had increased without our permission while we were also getting two months of tickets in the SAME house./apartments.

Cancelling was difficult.

I’m not surprised to see they have to offer VA miles to get new clients.

In the end its the people paying or buying the tixs that pay for the points.
RSL get a bit, VFF get as bit, this business probably gets to keep half of thr money.

I've just cancelled. Really only cos reading this thread. If it takes times and a few months. If I start the process now so by mid year I'll be free / out.

Iooking into it I was confused how many tickets $50 got me. Seemed like 20 plus 36 bonus, didn't appear like that in my ticket numbers.
Anyway happy with Mater Hospital house raffle, that's enough for me.

For Mootime, be prepared to go as far as changing card numbers, (I know I warble and talk a lot of bull), but giving them notice, so to speak, will not stop them dd your account, they will push the hard sell...
Yes, I know, in the end, part of the proceeds goes to the RSL, but still, quite a lot of money per month dd.
And we cant claim a tax deduction off it either.
My old pops wrote to them 3/4 times, explaining his age, and nowt, they still dd, he called, they still dd, until my brother got involved, and then it finally stopped.
For anyone who has it, and wants it to cease, just be ready for the pleas.
