Hmm, this one is hard.
To believe or not to believe, the sender is kosher/has scruples/is the real deal.
Did you hover over the sender of/in the email?

This is apparently not a new thing, but it's new for me seeing it pop up on my phone (a few mins ago) as part of an incoming phone call from an unknown mobile number -:

I’ve only just started seeing this on my phone in the past couple of weeks. It’s quite good I think.

Had a recording, it only recorded part of the recorded tape of the voice, "transaction for rail trip from Sydney Central Station to Perth East Railway Station for $17xx" if this was not you, press 1, this was on home phone, and only recorded as I mentioned part way through.
Family member thought they had something from the "security department of your bank" or something similar.
Not to mention the Wangiri calls from our cousins on the other side of the pond, +64 xx_ xx_x, (((thought that they would not play their tricks on the nearest cousins across the way...))).

Got a spam email with about 200 emails clearly visible. Not sure where they got them from but one of the was a SA government one and that format is at least 15 years old and probably more.

This dingbat then decides to reply to the spam email and cc everyone in

Dingbats who do reply all to form/spam emails should be banned from from using emails for at least a month.

Yep we had dozens of them at work when an email went out accidentally to about 3,000 people and the number of replies who cc all and said please remove me from this mailing list and then the dingbats that said just ignore it and don't cc everyone (which of course they did)

🤷‍♀️

I really love Latitude. Their contact centre is down.

I just noticed 2 x $100 charges from Apple store for 10 September. Im trying really hard to remember what I purchased but Im drawing blanks. I can't even dispute transaction as Their server is down?

This is what makes me really angry. They send me a request for authorisation of a $6.95 charge at McDonalds but just let 2 fraudulent transactions through.

How does this continue to occur? This card was replaced not long ago and compromised again. Mainly used for booking internal Thailand flights.

Sigh....

Put a temporary hold on the card via the app until you resolve it.

Did you get the alerts on your phone when the card was used?

No alert which gets me thinking inside job. Card has very small available limit so they cannot scam too much.

While I (obviously!) don't know in this case, my guess would be that it's a spending-pattern thing.
According to their data, you're considered likely to buy stuff from the Apple store, and highly unlikely to be buying recycled pickle-juice hamburgers (or for $6.95 these days, three soggy shoestring fries).
The latter means they think highly of you, dunno about the former ... :)

I suspect you've answered your own question there! :)

Possibly but my question is why me? There are lots of AFF-ers that visit Thailand often and very few reports of any issues.

When I called Latitude earlier this card was issued 9/9/24 due to fraudulent transactions and just on 1 year later the same thing occurs.

Maybe they’re not reporting it ‘cos it’s expected?
Not Thailand specifically, just anywhere outside the First World.
