How to cancel a Velocity Reward?

Hi all,

I need to cancel a VA reward flight. I'm on hold now, having been transferred to the international desk after getting to the front of the line for a domestic agent - this apparently is the system - but have been warned about an even longer wait than usual.

All I need to do is cancel a flight and pay $60, which I've always done by phone.

Can I do it via "manage my flight" in the app? I can see a big button marked "cancel my flights" but I can't see how to pay $60, and I need to do it soon to be within 24 hours of flight time.

Appreciate your advice.

I think you need to call to pay the cancellation in $$ rather than points.

Are you sure you call Velocity department?
 
I think you need to call to pay the cancellation in $$ rather than points.
Yep, you’re right.

Can only cancel by app if you pay the fee in points.

The wait wasn’t terrible, though I don’t like having to queue to learn the agent cannot help me because it’s an international reservation, and starting the wait all over.

I made the 24 hour cut-off, which is the important thing.
