Jayne Hrdlicka to resign as CEO

I'd assume it's a similar arrangement to EG Ampol (formerly Woolworths Petrol Pty Ltd trading as Woolworths Caltex) Third party company operating for the contracting brand (Woolworths).

The only intertwining is that the former Woolworths companies use the same Point of Sales (POS) systems as the primary Woolworths group companies.

In simple terms if you do your shopping online and add a bottle of wine or vodka, the alcohol comes from Endeavour even though it's seamlessly sold by a separate company.

For the audience of AFF it's probably easier to describe it as a wet lease. Unlike fuel, alcohol is very much a part of grocery shopping for many Australians, and in some states it's included in that shop (whether online or physical shops adjoining the store).

To the average punter it's all Woolworths. And to the point about QF ecosystem, it's an active part of WW rewards (as is the fuel business).

The same thing happened with the competition, with Coles and Kmart/Target becoming two different companies. I think most people still think of them as all part of the same Coles group that compete with their WW counterparts.

Probably not many after the vibe she creates at workplaces 😂
She created bad vibes in VA?

That said, what of the upper echelons, which may be more where JH may be wanting to headhunt (if that is the idea)?

You always have some Managers that will follow whoever regardless how toxic they are. They are often looked after with relocation, higher roles, and $$$ matched.

I know someone who moved between two ASX larger companies in a manager role, his old boss lured him over, matched his old salary plus paid for relocation, his comparable salary in the new outfit was about less compared to the salary that old mate boss matched, which upset many of his colleagues when they found out the new guy being paid 20% more because new boss is pulling his old workers over.

So, summing up: its 100% publicly owned Endeavour which has a contract with Woolworths, and Woolworths has Everyday Rewards, which has Qantas as a partner. Jayne will be measuring up the CEO's suite at Qantas any day now!

So circle all the way back? That would be an interesting prospect...

Probably as likely as her becoming the next QR CEO?
