Qantas Freight Delays & Issues

Qantas has apparently implemented a new operating system for Qantas Freight and as you would expect with Qantas and anything IT related its an absolute disaster. DHL and another companies who use Qantas are experiencing long delays in receiving freight from Qantas to process

Not DHL but one of those groups that aren't very transparent. I'm not sure what the official term is for them. The final deliverer is Aramex.

I think that's an Aramex issue then, they are notoriously bad.

One mail order supplier I used engaged Aramex. After a bad experience, I asked the supplier to only use Australia Post. Aramex is indeed the worst major courier company operating in/into/out of Oz.

Aramex is just Fastway rebranded. And Fastway was the worst.

Aramex is a UAE logistic company who purchased Fastway.
They were useless before the takeover and aren’t any better now. Terrible to deal with from the business side of things so little wonder customers struggle to get any decent service from them

Yep - Aramex actually offer a pretty good service in the Middle East and from the Middle East to Europe etc. In Australia though...

The main problem is they are a very budget operation here and use a lot of third party freight companies and small owner/operators to shift the goods around the country. Very little of their freight travels via air domestically because they simply want the cheapest option.

I think that their software / track and trace etc are not up to the job either. I suspect that Aramex thought that they were buying a better quality operation than what they actually got with Fastway - or that they thought that they could improve them.

CP was ok when DHL and NZ Post owned them but have gone backwards in many areas since Singapore Post took them over.
