QSuites Question

The latest www.premium-flights.com update (30 April, 2022,) on which destinations/flight numbers have QSuites has a lot fewer cities listed than previously - cities like HKG, KUL, CMB, HND and there's others in Europe which don't make the list now either.

Wondering if that is just a temporary byproduct of the changes QR made during covid lockdowns or whether it's indicative of more long term changes to the routes with them.

Specifically interested in knowing if QR844 DOH - KUL still has them. Listed as a 777-300ER but QR has 4 versions of this aircraft according to seatguru and only one of them has QSuites.
Anyone got the answer?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Best option is to check ExpertFlyer for a specific flight on a specific day. Though it's all subject to change obviously.

Got a cousin currently living and working in KL who flys QR back to the UK often and she was told by QR staff that no QSuites to KUL possibly for at least 6 more months

Thanks for those replies.
Interestingly, since I posted my question, our OWA itinerary has just been re-eTicketed (necessitated by a QR change of schedule) which ended up needing changes to all of our last 5 flights. After the new eTickes came through, I was able to select seats at Qatar's website on our QR flights from FRA - DOH and DOH - KUL which are at the end of September.

QR70 FRA - DOH is normally the only one of 3 flights daily on that route with QSuites, but the current seat map says it's an older 2 - 2 - 2 configuration wthout the QSuites.
Our overnight flight QR844 from DOH - KUL, on the other hand, is still showing the new configuration with QSuites and I was pleased to be able to select 3E&F which can be set up as a double bed.

Now just hoping QR doesn't cause any more disruptions with schedule or aircraft changes

When are you travelling?

Our homeward trip starts 18/9/22 from PMI - LHR - FRA - DOH - KUL - MEL, arriving home on 21/9/22
The FRA - DOH and DOH - KUL flights are both on 19/9.
Great stuff. Seems like QSuites are only on the KUL route for September only at this stage

Still hoping they change metal on the FRA - DOH leg to have QSuites like they did previously too, but will take anything as long as there are no more schedule changes - this close to our travels it's very difficult to find alternate award availability and QF have been zero help in that regard.

I’m a victim of these changes unfortunately. Flying NRT - DOH at the end of August. When I booked it was showing QSuite configuration and has recently changed to 2-2-2. It’s disappointing but nothing we can do really.

We had MXP-DOH-BKK QSuites, both of which have unfortunately recently been swapped out for non-QSuite A350s (according to planefinder.net)

Bummer - you must be on a couple of the A350-900's b'cos all of their A350-1000's have QSuites. Bit stiff that they dropped QSuites on both your flights

From what I have been told - Qatar changes aircraft so frequently (even on the day of the flight) that even if you are seeing QSuites on the seat map now, until your plane leaves Doha, you don’t know what your going to get

Hopefully Qatar gets their fleet issues sorted because to get a 2-2-2 layout in business class is not good enough

My DOH>LHR Q-Suites flight recently got changed to an A380-800 (reverse herringbone seats) which is pretty annoying.

I would have thought that route is pretty busy and maybe aircraft swaps less likely?

Maybe there is an increased demand so they got a bigger plan (was a 777 before)? Hoping they switch back, although it would be nice to experience the bar on board the A380.

With Qatar it is akin to musical chairs right now. I booked SYD-DOH-ZRH with Q-Suites on first flight but not on the second. Next change was to A380 SYD-DOH so no suites at all. Several months go by and now the 2nd flight has had an aircraft change to Q-Suites ... but I'm not getting excited. Still 3 months of changes to go.
