I saw this article yesterday. Your supposed to register with an eligible company email via the relevant landing page. A company I have access to only does comp Silver (which I may do - although I don’t stay at Marriott’s much these days).

Has anyone used this to take up the Marriott or other perks? The Elite card (with a “Spouse” companion card - same perks) might be cost effective for a small business / partnership to gain access to similar discounts to corporate rates etc.

I work for a large consulting firm and I regularly see offers like this from Marriott. I took up this offer in December before commencing my first international trip since 2019 (thanks covid) and it took Marriott about 3 days to apply Plat status to my Bonvoy account.

LL alleges “it is then yours to keep until early 2024” – is this true? The T&Cs are vague and say “up to a year”, so I assume the upgrade is only for this status period, i.e. between now and ~ February 2023, not 2024. Is this understanding not correct?

LL comment: “I’m an FC Member as well- FoundersCard actually gives you a “@founderscard.com” email address that forwards to your email on file so you can redeem this benefit with a “corporate email”. It’s shown on your account on the Marriott page, but you can call FC if you have trouble finding it. Hope that’s helpful!”

The “instant” status will be for set period. The comp “Silver” I mention above (for amother large consulting firm) says 1st year - which for programs that work on calendar years, taking it in Jan makes sense - Dec, probably not.

Usually these Fast-track offers relate to maintaining or attaining status for the remainder of the year and the following year. So if you subsequently stayed sufficient nights, Plat is yours for the remainder of the year and the following year. The “early 2024” would therefore be the grace period they give you if you don’t continue to meet the status requirements during 2023.
