What is Virgin Australia's strategy (post-administration)?

Re; post by Airwin above,
Hopefully/maybe those laid off by the Red Roo can move to VA2... at leadt they will be experienced in the airline industry and have ASIC (Id) card.

Initial applications for these roles will be taken from current and former Virgin Australia employee groups, ahead of external expressions of interest made via the airline’s careers website.

Can we see an Ansett case (again) coming soon, does VA3 want to do a "flag carrier" for the 2032 Brisbane Olympics?
If they last that long that is.
Edit:
According to a website called "paddleyourownkanoo"/other newssites, it seems so.
Hopefully this time they won't spend too much!
Or that the financial returns are better (we hope) than the outlay.

Geez imagine the olympics gouging that will go on.
Typically it's not as bad as you'd think, often the shortage of accommodation is the biggest problem.

Having previously looked or booked at events like Tokyo 2020 (before covid), GC commonwealth games, state of origin or the rugby world cup NZ I think it's safe to say that flight costs won't be that bad.

Exception being the AFL grand final of course.

Don't ever forget Ansett, right!
Just remember that.
I loved that airline, like a big sister.
So sad when she died.
Don't want to have VA3 go down that same route/flight path/runway.

The Club will be relaunched with a new name:
What would be really nice but unlikely is if they shook it up a bit making it only the biggest spenders. Instead of trying to suck up to the political world making it useful for those who spend big with the airline.

Also, the Canberra lounge space has been requested back to Canberra airport. I suspect this is probably because Rex want's it.

Don’t really know why they are bothering so will be interesting to see who the actual target is. Maybe they will create a tier above WP?

I just found out that from VA that the ADL lounge is closed due to government restrictions… except there aren’t any restrictions that would prevent them opening under Level 1

I think this might be the final straw for me and maybe it’s time to buy a QF Club Membership until I can qualify as Gold (which will probably be easier to retain than VA when international travel resumes)

The website says the lounges are closed "due to government restrictions and operational requirements".

Obviously CBR, MEL and SYD are closed due to government restrictions but ADL and OOL is closed due to operational requirements. The OOL lounge is unlikley to open until MEL or SYD flights resume but the ADL lounge is quite surprising given the flights operating without restrictions to ASP, BNE, CNS, DRW, OOL, LST and PER.
