Strategy to obtain US Amex

And one more thing about Citi. Priority pass allows all immediate family members or 2 guests, while Chase only allows 2 guests. Could be useful for a big family.

Does Citi's Priority Pass include drinks & restaurant like Chase?
I know that AMEX's no longer have this, only the lounge access only.

Am a bit nervous...Chase called my mate to verify his address for the Hyatt Chase card since he has the chase card CSP or CSR. My mate told them I will call them. Any tips other than county. Hopefully it should be straight forward.

I'm confused. Who applied for the card?

Yes $3/m pay as you go. This plan is a weird one and difficult to find info now. Your credit will not expire as long as you have at least $3 there for them to take each month. ie if you top up $21, you can forget about it for 7 months even though it says credit expires after 30 days or 90 days.

Mine was an online transaction so might be a bit different and they asked if I used the card at Australian Tax Office lol I did pay a bit of fee to help meet the minimum. They just wanted to make sure it was you I believe.
Which US card did you get the t-Mobile monthly offer?

Sorry I applied for the Chase Hyatt card and gave my mates US address. He also holds a chase card. Instead of calling my T-mobile, they called his number. Most likely cause he has been their customer for long time.

Got $15/m wireless credit on Bonvoy business. Works with other providers too.

That call to another customer at the same address is new to me. It might be easier for you if Chase confirmed with your friend. What have you done so far with the app? They might just want you to submit documents. Don't worry too much. I survived it with my broken English and not much info available ha.

I cannot see the offer in my Bonvoy business login. Did you have to register for it? Is it still open.

Just applied for the Chase Hyatt card through their portal. I wish he could have verified his address but thinking from his perspective, he does not want to get involved.

Yes I had to save the offer. It is the same as dining credit on other cards but wireless on a business card. I heard you must have a card as of Jan 1 to be eligible. Did you just get the card?

Are you on t-mobile prepaid? Wonder if you asked them to enable short codes on your account before. I heard it might work with Chase verification.
I just noticed on Chase.com you can change the mobile number to an international number and as I am up cough creek already what do you guys think I just roll my Aussie number in and maybe I can then receive a text verification? Could better explain why my transactions are all in Oz also.

How can you contact them asking to enable short codes? Also, I remember you mentioned that of we don’t recharge the account, when the account will be deactivated? I don’t want to top up monthly and plan to do that every 2 or 3 months depending on how long I can keep the number active without recharging. Thanks.

If I were you, I wouldn't do anything for now until they finish their review. I don't think the international number will work or do you any good.

They might get back to you and say everything is fine. Since I got Chase cards in Sep, all transactions were from Australia. Better wait for their reasons then go from there.

You can contact customer service. If you use wifi calling, I believe you can dial 611. I think it's either free or just deduct minutes from your plan. You lose the number after 90 days with no money and I don't think you can use it during that time. Not sure if things have changed though. If you don't really want the number, just use it to get Google voice. My GV has been fine so far with all banks. If you need more GV number, you can call t-mobile customer service and ask them to change your number. You can tell them you need a new area code etc.

Thanks for the tip. I will call them in the morning before calling Chase. For changing the area code of the SIM, I will call them after speaking to Chase since my application has the old area code.

I used my US Amex Bonvoy Business to pay a business using Yakpay and I was charged a Cash advance fee. So not only I got hit with Yakpay fees but also Amex fees. Whats your experience has been with this. Yakpay told me it is not an issue for Australian issued card. In addition to nearly 10% fees, The expense was not included in my minimum spend for my sign up bonus.
Amex did not refund the cash advance fees. Has anyone transacted with Yakpay using an Amex and was it charged as a Cash payment.

Would their new Ultrago $3/month Sim plans also work in getting more Google Voice plans?

Those legacy T-Mobile sims are getting more and more expensive each time I see them being sold.
