I'm tossing up between a business class flight to LAX in November with Japan Airlines and China Eastern Airlines. One major factor for me is how well a vegetarian/vegan diet can be catered for. Does anyone have any idea whether one airline is better than the other when it comes to this? Or where I might be able to get more information?

I am a relatively fussy vegetarian and requested vegetarian food on JAL J flights Sydney - Tokyo. The food was excellent and plentiful.

That's good to know, thanks. Did you make the request pre-flight and did you have to specify a subtype of vegetarian?

I’m vegetarian but of late (past 12 months) I’ve not been enjoying meals on airplane. (Neither alcoholic drinks)

When I did have decent meal on one flight, it was poor on next sector - experiences on both MH and SQ, this month

My best meals including beverages are in airport lounges. They’re not all the same, everyone knows
