 Ha - thanks for that. :)

I used to be an outdoors guy - as a geo, camping out was my way of life, but those days are a way back now, and were never so high tech  . These days I'm a creature of J (and F when Ican get it), and I examine the geology from 30,000 feet ...

Though sometimes the "indoors" can be cold too.

When I trekked to Annupurna Base Camp two years back (I am 58 now) the lodge we stayed at at ABC was -10C in the room.

When I was 28 and doing an Everest Trek the "hut" at Lobuche was -37C !

The Regular Hiking mat is 186cm 750g.

As this is to be used on a bed the short should be all you need for purpose of extra comfort.

Head is on pillow and feet do not really matter - but your main pressure points of your body will be looked after and for slide sleepers like me this is your hip and shoulder.

VA had a memory foam mattress and near the end of the fligh

When flying Etihad, I really felt uncomfortable between the knee and ankle - the seat when flat was not well padded in this area and I ended up using a folded blanket in this area... which is when I started looking at inflatable mattresses but chickened out.

That's right. Anything more than the one I started to use will have problems both fitting into the narrow foot well employed by mant airlines and will be too large and bulky for a carry on.

I must have missed out. Can’t find anywhere near that price.

Up until 31st July they were $59 with 6 QF points per dollar.

They are now back to $95 dollars for Kathmandu members and 3 QF points per dollar

I cannot but help to think who will be first AFFer to incur the wrath of some crew who will take a dim view of these and prohibit their use. I might be wrong - I guess only time will tell.

That’s a fake TUMI, I would never have known. ;)

I’m just jealous because you can get all of those ‘copies’ over there.

RMB120 all day every day in SH or BJ - they are heavier than the Real McCoy but quantity and style of pockets make it so much better than any genuine one I have ever seen
