Just because police go softly softly doesn't mean other organisations have to. Indeed it can be argued that police departments let too many members get away with too much at the expense of public safety.

… and it's not only Police that issue weapons to employees. But, anyway, I would have thought that there were ways to manage the FA matter. We are to believe that all available options were exhausted?

Genuinely don’t mean to be rude but I suspect FAs are easier/cheaper to replace than police officers.

Would be cheaper than a cop, but these B747 'older' crew are earning a LOT of money for the amount of flying they do.
