I m hoping i m posting at the right forum now.

Hi everyone, i am comparing economy flight options from brisbane to san francisco. I have Air NZ via Auckland (2 or 3 hr layover each direction) or VA/Delta via LAX (3hr+ lay over). Fare similar. I have VA Gold and priority pass. Which route would everyone suggest?
If VA/Delta, I get status. With Air NZ, I can avoid LAX (is LAX bad?).
Thanks a lot for feedback.

Agree, go VA for status, plus helping your next renewal, and the equipment is preferable in economy.

As for LAX, it's not the best, but has improved of late, and isn't that bad imo. The SFO entry is better but it's not enough to detract for loss of status and lesser equipment.

Hope you've received a double points offer?
hmm nope, booked via delta. rather take $100 off the fare than taking on double points. VA points too easy to earn, so not feeling bad for missing that out...VA/SQ appear on same price fares, but with delta, VA is always dearer.

I will just chill at the back, flying with pride...

let there be empty seats next to me :p
