Sun 03 AUG 08 16:00-17:15 SYD T3
We will probably bump into each other at the bar. If you want to say hello I will be wearing a black jacket, drinking vodka & orange, hopefully doubles as usual, and sitting in front of one of the desktops browsing AFF.

I presume most of these travel plans are for business. I wish my company would give me such advance notice of travel. I will make sure to post my plans so that in case I am flying solo I can get 1 into the lounge. As basically 95% of my travel is O/S I am on very good first name terms with a lot of the Sunday/Monday crew in the MEL F lounge, normally in the mornings.

Not necessarily. All of my flights are for self funded personal travel although the SYD-BNE returns allow me to work in BNE during the week and return home to SYD on weekends.

Flight is just after 3pm, so in reality, I'll probably leave the place about 2:50 or so, so I think we will miss each other.

That's some positive thinking there, assuming the flight will be running to schedule..

If any of you good folk out there are able to guest 1 into Sydney Int QC Lounge on the below date I would be most grateful. I have 1 complimentary pass but don't want to leave the boyfriend stranded at the door :) (neither of us are Club members, I'm just a Silver FF).

Flying JQ SYD - HKT, and knowing Jet* we'll probably be delayed so plenty of time to waste...

Aug 11 - 1130-1300

Thanks!

Also a good chance of a trip to WLG in the week of the 11Aug08 - yet to get travel organised

Sunday Aug 10th. SYD - QF1 - J. so can guest 1, but does anyone have F access that day?

Re: October 2008

I will have an 8 hour transit stop in LHR terminal 5 on October 6th (ETA approx 0530) after flying from HK to LHR enroute to PHX.As I have been unable to book a BAA lounge in the other terminals due to security,I am trying to be guested into a BA Lounge in Terminal 5. I am a QF FF but not a Club member.
The thought of 8 hours or more stuck in a transit lounge is enough to make me consider cancelling my trip.
If anyone can assit me into a BA Lounge I would be most grateful and would happily pay your cab or XPress rail into London in return.I am a mature age and respectably presented Australian male travelling alone.I promise not to be a pest to anyone.
Failing this it looks like a prayer room for me.
Thank you
Bert

Good to meet you Mark. It is a shame I got there a little late after golf but you did find me at the computers surfing AFF wearing a black jacket and drinking a vodka & orange.

8 hours should be enough time to quickly pop into London. That's what I would do. Choose something you want to do there, catch the tube or Heathrow Express (or regular trains) into London and do it. Just ensure you're back at the airport ~2-3 hours before your flight. Should give you about 3 hours -4 hours to do something rather than wandering around the terminal.

* note that some airlines have restrictions over passengers leaving the airport during transit stops.

Happy to guest :) (or be guested into JLounge)

et tu.

Found John K having just filled up on some of the hearty pies that had surfaced on the dot of 5pm... We had a brief chat on all things FF

Was quite impressed with the food in the J Lounge... less so with the wine - when half the bottle are two buck chuck (aka Yellow Tail) am not going to be happy.
Also got a very very cold bluetongue at the J Lounge. So cold that it had small ice crystals in it!!
HAd an interesting flight Syd-Per in the import A seat (25 J plane) behind a very senior member of the Catholic Clergy. Must reccomend the Cookoothoma botrytis that was served.

The pies at the Syd J Lounge were somewhat better than those that I found in the PER QP the following evening (warning on the cheese filled pies -- the cheese is extremely dangerous -- it burn't my upper lip)

Hoping for the possibility (or remote chance) someone may be able to guest me + 1 for the following flights;

28 Aug SYD 0500-0700 (CX110)
30 Aug HKG 2100-2330 (CX293)
16 Sep ATH 1000-1200 (AZ719)
19 Sep FCO 1000-1230 (CX292)
21 Sep HKG 0630-0830 (CX139)

Thanks

Jo:)
