Always a concern in a taxi... with no seat belts :(
90% of the time the seat belt doesn't work and the rest of the time don't bother trying to use the seat belt.

The best one is buses and mini buses fitted with seat belts and the seat belt doesn't fit. Do you think they have seat belt extentions?

I was surprised that the Scottish (or the tourists) were aholes and didn't like to use blinkers.

And some of their round abouts were pure guess work, with three or four lanes. One round about was more a 5 exit triangle including going under a bridge/around bridge support.

Ah, yeah, so .... it's a UK driver thing, annoys the cough out of me.

Also, don't get me started on roundabout design....

After seeing germans drive, you will wonder that more people don't die on Aussie roads. Our driver training requirements are woeful.

And to be honest a lot of our roads are death traps. For example the Kings Highway from Canberra to Batemans Bay, a political football, NSW doesn't want to spend the money on it as they say most of the cars/drivers that use it are from the ACT.
The ACT says they are bringing dollars into NSW as well a quite a few owning places and paying local rates all the way to the coast and then north and south of B.B.
Too few overtaking lanes and one particular over taking place at the top of the Clyde Mountain is a favourite for NSW revenue raisers to sit, you have been stuck behind cars towing boats, caravans and trailers all the way up the Clyde, then when you can finally overtake, mr revenue raiser is there to catch you doing 120 momentarily in a 100 zone before you slow down to the speed limit. Road safety?
Seriously, a lot of Australian roads are terrible by first world international standards. I do realise that there are many factors that contribute to the road toll, speed is just one of them.

It’s easy to blame speed. Speed limits have not increased on roads while cars have gotten a lot safer.
For me it’s inappropriate speed for the conditions. A 110 in the dry is not 110 in the wet.

Also pedestrian inattention.

Last weekend a pedestrian died on Bridge street Hornsby after being hit by a turning bus

Also driver inattention, poor road design, chemically impaired drivers. Bad driving behaviour/practices like tailgating at speed.

Doing the speed limit on the M1 and most people go past. Speedo could be wrong but I'm not testing that theory.

99% of cars are a neat 5% fast, easy to check with a gps or a phone app.
GPS will be spot on.

Let me try:). Don't you just love the double or ( almost) triple round abouts? There's a horror one just outside Edinburgh on the way to the bridge.

Yes. Drive to conditions. If the Scotland dash cam ever goes viral, I'll be the naggiest wife in the world, saying "I don't care if the speed limit says 100, you drive to conditions". I would also be heard sternly telling him off for a hitting every pothole on Skye and not knowing if we even had a spare, let alone know how to change it.

My anxiety in cars as a pax is very real. As my CFO found out when he dared to use the phone while driving.

I believe it was more of a musical which was an adaptation from Pygmalion (George Bernard Shaw)?

Yes it was. Words and lyrics by Lerner and Loewe.
The musical was My Fair Lady.
Res Harrison and Julie Andrews in the original broadway adaptation
Rex Harrison and Audrey Hepburn in the film version 1964?
I think I still have the Harrison / Andrews LP somewhere

You still got LP?

LPs are not extinct. Apparently they are still being produced, and the turntables now often occupy the premium audio market. For some the background crackles and pops and the simple but purposeful act of placing the diamond stylus on the first groove makes for superior listening experience. Like making a cup of tea

Try the roundabouts on the Sunshine Coast. I've never seen so many roundabouts. Why do the roundabouts need to be that big? I took a wrong turn 6-7 times yesterday.
