Sydney-Hong Kong-Dusseldorf-Brussels-Brugge-Paris-Burgundy-Dusseldorf-Hong Kong-Sydney for 3 weeks at the end of January, on a mix of QF/CX J. I'm counting the minutes until take off.

Our first Christmas with BabyGM will be at home. But we'll be spending a few days in Esperance in early January. MrsGM will take BabyGM on her first flight (Y in VA) while I do it the long way by road. Then up to Kalgoorlie to visit MrsGM's family. All in the car this time.
And then it's back behind the wheel for your's truly while mum and bub fly home via Y thanks to some old QF points of hers.
Will be an interesting experience I expect. Hope do offer a TR afterwards.

Wilson's Prom for Xmas. Looking forward for the walks/ hikes. Don't think there is anything exciting to write about :p

This is followed by a trip to the US in January - LA, Maui, San Fran, Aus/ San Antonio, Miami/Ft Lauderdale, cruise to Jamaica, New Orleans and Las Vegas. Love checking my booking via Qantas 'Manage my Booking' as it show you the days to departure.

Doing the Bhutan bucket list, then BKK and SIN, and back in MEL for less than 48 hours before off to ski in Japan for a week

Not sure how am going to pack for this

Will be working all though the Xmas holiday period. The closest I've ever come to having holidays at this time was a few years ago when I headed to Beijing and Harbin in January.

On the other hand I have just booked another trip for Oct 2016.

I'm using a mix of DividendMiles, LifeMiles, AAdvantage points, and QFF points to go CBR-MEL-SYD-NOU-SYD-YVR-LAX-SFO-NRT-SIN-BNE-CBR in a bit over two weeks, working along the way. Three decent legs in F, the rest in J.

Doing some island hopping around Hawaii for 2 weeks with wife and (adult) kids before heading to Sydney for a week over Christmas with extended family.

The 10 days off will be spent painting an entire inside of a 3 bed house (including ceilings/skirtings) at Tamworth.
MrsDrRon, you are welcome to drop by en route to Armidale.
Then the new carpet/lino can be layed, and hopefully a new tenant early January.

I will just have to keep counting the days till our 7 weeks off starting September.
Pushka - tips for Dubai please, we will have 5 nights there.

A first White Christmas (weather-willing!) for us, Miss 4 and Miss 6 are palpable with excitement.

Dec 9 SYD-LAX
8 days Vegas, San Diego, Anaheim
Dec 17 LAX - DFW
Few days Dallas, then drive up to the Colorado Rockies for 4 nights over Christmas, have rented a cabin in the snow.
Then drive back to Dallas, fly home DFW-LAX-SYD arriving Jan 1 after NYE in-flight

First time flying VA/DL to USA after half a dozen visits with QF in the last 8 years....sale prices around school hols + xmas to DFW were to good to ignore (that's how I sold it to Mrs CJD anyway)

When are you travelling Bindibuys?
My must do's - Desert Safari, the three main souks (gold, spice, perfume), dinner at the Jumeirah Beach resort overlooking the Burj, Khalifa at dusk and the connected mall and fountains at night, a dhow sunset cruise, Madinat Jumeirah souk. That should keep you busy.

I'll also be spending the week from Boxing Day at Wilson's Prom. Haven't been there in years, so it should be fun.

Xmas day and boxing day will be spent at home (on my own by choice), stuffing my face, writing up trip reports from the last 6 months that I haven't yet gotten around to.

27th onwards til the 31st I'll be taking at a minimum 15 flights, but I'll be jumping out of the plane every single time so not sure they count.

Next trip is BNE for Australia Day. Trying to make a plan to keep working 4th onwards, need to dosh.

For the first time in 3 years I'm actually going to spend Christmas with my family in Canberra. The past few years I have been in Germany over the festive season. This year I'll be waiting until January before heading over to Europe.

For NYE I'll be heading over to Perth.

First Christmas with a baby is extra special.

Thanks I imagine it will be fun. And I have always hated Christmas believe it or not. I have to say though looking at some other travel plans I really wish I had joined an FF program years ago and found this place at the same time.
So green with envy.

We will both be 2 sectors short for requalifying so Christmas day we are flying Syd>Melb and staying at South Wharf (fingers crossed for a Diamond upgrade) for a couple of days.

Hubby wants to photograph Princes Pier so hes getting a couple of sunrises and sunsets there.

Last year we flew to Hobart and found overwhelmingly that pax's were miserable so Im wearing my tasteful Santa headband (with bobblehead Santa and bells) and hubby picked the below tshirt to wear and Santa hat and we will be giving out sealed boxes of Lindt chocolates to as many staff we can find or until we run out. (last year we gave away about 30 boxes).

Sounds great Pushka. We are spending a quiet Christmas at home. Heading off early January for a week in LA followed by a week skiing in Whistler.

Jealous of the skiing part PF. Spent the past two Christmases skiing in Japan (Hakuba and Furano) and loved every minute of it.

I'm consoling myself with a MEL-AUH-LHR-ORY-TXL-CPH-OSL-ARN-IST-SIN-MEL trip, in a mix of SQ F and EY J, with some Airberlin, SAS and Turkish in the middle.

No skiing, but I'm sure there'll be snow! Tense time in Europe, but certainly no deterrent for me. I've been looking forward to it way too much.

We are spending Christmas with friends on the Gold Coast and then a 14 day cruise SIN-HKG in mid Jan
