Life Time Gold - The [Realistic] Holy Grail

Congrats PF!!

If allowable, can someone point me to a thread here or on FT that discusses merits of crediting to BA and ways to convert from QF (if possible)? I have 11000 QF SCs at them moment. Got LTS mid-2014. Had a big couple of years though it will slow down in future. Lifetime platinum/emerald is very appealing!!

Sitting on the fence :D
Will continue crediting to QF for P1 during this membership year. That gives me plenty of options over the next year or two including BA and AA. I think I could get LTP with BA with some careful planning ;)

It's a Nice feeling - congrats.

If only BA allowed pooling of Tier Points with Family Accounts :( Without that - I've got no chance.

Good planning and good luck.

Congratulations PF!
I am in a similar situation, should reach LTG at Christmas time, merely 3 years after LTS.
I don't know why, but for me there will be a sense of relief that I will have lifetime lounge access flying Qantas and One World (subject to any changes to either program!), no matter how little I fly.

Woo-hoo!!! LTG for me after today's flight (13997 with 40 to credit from this morning).
LTS in Oct 12, three years later and many posts read and absorbed on AFF and I'm there :)
Noticed the 0900 was an A330 business suite and asked nicely at check-in to be swapped to that flight.

All OT but I don't think there is one specifically. I've asked the mods if it's possible to create a BAEC forum here to put all the BA stuff together.
The experts would be TonyHancock and beardoc on switching from QFF.
I've heard anecdotes (none recent) that there may have been a BA contact able to match to P1 a while ago.
No easy ways to convert as such.

No worries. Thanks for reply. I'll do a bit of research and maybe contact BA direct at some point. Also OT but just flew with them and was surprisingly impressed (other than ridiculous J seating).

I am currently sitting on 13818, due to fly home tonight which will give me another 120. Another 60 for the 50% bonus offer will leave me on 13998 (if my maths is correct). So near, yet.......

MrP received his LTG letter yesterday. Maybe I should frame it? I would have liked some kind of Gold on it. Says if he drops from WP he will receive a new Gold kit. I'd say we have over a dozen Q tags currently, in all shades.

They sell well on eBay. As a family we converted the cash into Champagne. Easy enough to print swing tags when needed.

I have a bunch of other "stuff" that should probably be sold on eBay. Perhaps I should start a test case with the Qtags I got.
...

Happy wandering

Fred
