Bonus Status Credits

Logged into my account just now and found "LET QANTAS REWARD YOU BONUS STATUS CREDITS 29JUN15" with it posting 20SCs beside it. Has anybody else received this recently? I was also a recipient of a 50% SC offer a few months ago, but don't know if that plays into this at all.

I logged in to get a you have requalified Plat (despite being only at 1165 SC) but that is normal behavior about one month out from renewal

With a double status credit offer I booked Mrscove PER-SYD-LAX return for 1,040 SCs in business class.

And in my account, I have retained SG, shouldn't that read attained, as its my first year at SG, but hey, at 815 SC, so maybe QF is being very lenient, or giftful of late to members. Maybe I will keep SG till Jul 17!
I should really have QF SG from Dec 14 to Dec 15, or Dec 14 to Jul 15.
But **seem** to have got it till Jul 16. Maybe even longer.
Not 100% sure, I think they are trying to keep the masses tied to them.

You hit the qualification for SG in December 2014, right?

And your year ends in July?

So you got it for the rest of your current year at the time (through July 2015), and then the whole next year (through July 2016). That's normal.

QF seem very generous at the moment

the one month out reviews are fairly common so you have a valid card. have always made it anyway, just in case it counts against you for future leniency

I currently get "Status reassessment will occur: 30 Sep 2015".

Yours should have said "Status reassessment will occur: 31 July 2016 (woof!)" as soon as you qualified.

My cut and paste didn't work out as I thought it would.

Maybe its too troublesome for QF to differentiate.
Not that I mind really though, as least QF has got F class on some of its own routes, and F on code shares.
Unlike NZ which only has got J class. Or VA for that matter.
No way to earn anymore SC than J.

this suggests you needed 600SC which is retain, rather than attain...

Maybe that's because after the "Simpler & Fairer TM" changes, the ranks of those with status are thinning because some aren't chasing it anymore.

I wasn't game to take the punt and lose SG with only 540 scs so off we went to Hobart for Dark mof_ on J* me flying starter max.
