Was it common knowledge that the cards were morphing from a Mastercard to Visa? I already have an ANZ so don't need another one. I received mine today and will probably activate it if they offer me some points, otherwise I'll pay it off and cancel it.

Yes. I have a nice range now.

I did not give them high marks in the survey and I hope you all get a chance to tell them what you think if you get surveyed too. The survey came from a phone call I made.

I guess I'll get a survey too. I've already had a call back from someone with a more senior sounding title.

Oh I deleted that. Did I miss a golden opportunity to give them a piece of my mind?

Edit: found it and reflected my views

Can someone confirm how the 'enhanced' points earning regime affects purchases of Qantas products/services?

I'm about to spend ~$3500 on some QF fares, which will show up on my March statement (and I've received my Feb statement with advice of the $2500 earnings threshold) - does that mean that my maximum points in March will be 2500 points, or do Qantas purchases still give an additional point per $ over the threshold, e.g. would I get 2500 base points + 2500 Qantas spend?

I posted this is in related topic but for the record: this card gives points for ATO transactions. I checked past month's points per the on-line summary against my charges for the same period, including an ATO charge: they match.

It was, however, a modest amount of personal tax. Charging a large slab of PAYG/BAS might trigger an alarm.

What card? This thread is about the WWEDR card. We know it posts for ATO however as at March statement it is capped at 2500 points then goes to 0.5 points per dollar, hence no longer good value.

Just got an email reminding me to activate my new card, and notifying me that my existing card will no longer work after 25 April. Given the points capping, the frustration of having to change my direct debits and the fact I already have enough VISA's - I'll probably be cancelling.

I got an SMS and an email yesterday telling me my new card is on the way. It's written like I already knew there was a new card coming (although I had only heard about it here on AFF).
I may not activate as it could prompt a call if I keep trying to use the old one.

My bpays from Monday haven't been credited yet. I rang and was told there are delays. They currently have no eta when they will be credited but I won't be charged a late payment fee or interest. Really? So grateful for that. If they tried it was off to the Ombudsman.

The old mob tried to tell me that the BPAY had to have cleared to their account by the due date and that it could take 3-5 business days. This is of course rubbish. If you have paid by BPAY on or by the due date, then you should be fine. If the banks use slow payment processing methods, that's not the consumer's problem.

On another note, the fact that BPAY hasn't moved to instant or at least next day still astounds me. You can send an EFT to another bank and have it show up in 4 business hours or less.

You should get the bonus points for qantas services in addition to the base. My guess is that you'd get 3000 base points (2500 + 1000*0.5) and 3500 bonus points.

But you'd be better off using an Amex if you have one. For example my westpac black would earn 5250 base + 3500 bonus, for the same spend for the same cost in credit card fees.

My due date for payment for my Woolies EDRCC statement is today....my payment (in full) is made by direct debit (has always been) but I note that no money was withdrawn from my bank account to day. A colleague who also pays by direct debit received a call today regarding him not paying his credit card bill by the due date ...he also does direct debit and the money was not debited from his bank account last week. Anyone else facing similar issues?

Also, I'm yet to receive the new Visa card....

Its a public holiday in Vic and SA. Maybe thats why it didn't withdraw. Also they know payments are taking an extra couple of days to post.
